There should be an env var like this that can be set to hide email addresses:
SetEnv MKD__HIDE_EMAIL_ADDR yes
If this is set to yes then email addresses should not appear in these places:
Document footers
XHTML metadata
RSS feeds
DC RDF metadata
Print versions
Email newsletters
