New Document

Help and advice on the use of the New Document option in the editor interface, which can be used to create a new document as a child of the current document.

The New Document link takes you to a Document Properties form. Once you have completed and submitted the form it creates a New Document as a child of the document you were on when you activated the New Document link. After you have created the document you can then add content to the document using the Document Content link.

The default values of several of the Document Properties are inherited from the current document. These include Language, Rights, Publisher and Template.

The New Document link does not appear if you are in a section of the site over which you do not have permission to edit.
