MKDoc 1.6 Beta released

After almost a year of development, MKDoc 1.6 is almost there! While retaining its original accessibility, usability and multi-lingual benefits, this new version is engineered to let you build dynamic, community oriented websites.

Forum discussion board.

MKDoc 1.6 features threaded, multi-lingual, easily administrable discussion forums which are associated with particular documents. For example if you write an article you might want to create an associated forum so that your users can comment it, or you might want to create a page with many forums built around different themes of your choice.

Administrating / Moderating forums is easy: you do it using your the IMAP capabilities of your mail client (Netscape mailer, Outlook, Mutt...).

Personalized newsletter.

In order to keep your community alive and focused, MKDoc 1.6 lets your users the ability to subscribe for a daily, weekly or monthly email newsletter from your website.

  1. Users subscribe to your site using an easy to use, built-in user signup process.
  2. They change their preferences to match their interest and the newsletter frequency.
  3. Personalized newsletters are then periodically sent out based on those preferences.
